I am rebuilding a gearbox for a 1952 model. Gearbox #11196. The shifting forks are broken (one tooth broke off).
Here is my question.
It appears that I have the very early version of the shifting fork.

According to this website http://www.awo-stammtisch.de/Serviceseite.htm, my parts are from the 1950-51 series.
I cant seem to find that part online for sale anywhere.
Now from looking at the part list documents I found online, it appears that a more recent part, #49141 used on the 1951-1954nmodels can be used with the addition of a spacer #41939.
This is the text from the part manual "Verwendbar ab Getriebe Nr. 12203. Bei
Ersatz unter Getriebe Nr. 12203 nur mit
Lagerflansch 41889/90 oder Abstandbuchse 41939 verwendbar."
Has anyone done this, replace an early part with that more recent fork with the spacer? Where does the spacer go exactly?
Thank you!
Yan
