Hi Peter,
you are right, yours is the latest version of the AWO-Sport-Engine, but for driving the rubber-mounting is fine because of avoiding vibrations - for driver and material.
What you need is a cut - drawing from that latest version. Unfortunately I do not have it, but at the moment I can give you another picture what shows the lube oil flow in front side of crank shaft. It is from the touring engine, but at the moment the cylinderhead is for you not so important.
In blue you see the lube oil run, in red the important plate what collects mud and in green that detailled situation of end bearing for what we still need solution.
I will ask in the whole communityfor some help with that last version of cut drawing and maybe somebody can help and I will ask for sending a link.
