Hi Peter,
ofcourse you are right by taking an online manual for quick and easy translation.
But for having good detailled photos of all parts ( also for purchasing spare parts ) it
would be the best to buy this ( I am repeating this recommendation, I know - but it is worth )

also you will find it in our German ebay offers
You will find all parts of last developement in pictures and with part numbers and this will allow you
to have very specific questions and gives chances for qualified answers. It is easy to dismantle an AWO bike
but much more difficult to recreate a complete running example from a puzzle in a box of single parts.
So I wish you good luck for your dream and do not hesitate to ask for specific help.

Hi Peter,
I think your engine is the latest modification without seperat plate on the end of crank (right side). This isn´t not shown in figure 4, there is an earlier type. In your engine the bearing suits in the housing, protected by retainer and the seal is assembled from outside. Can you take a foto from the flat head and bulb, then we can see. Is your engine rubber supported in the frame? Then is it a 15,5PS-type on the other hand is it an engine with 14PS.

Hi Peter,
unfortunately the given manual shows in figure 4 an earlier version of the engine, especially concerning the lube oil flow. The main difference you show in centre of your photo, a round tin that lets the oil run via centrifugal power to the base bearing of the connecting rod. This tin is usually full of oil mud in rim area and has to be cleaned very carefully - or take a new one.
In the other photo you show situation of the flywheel bearing. It is latest version and in difference to figure 4 it does
not have a separate plate for closing the seal ring. But this solution does run, the only part I miss in your photo is theat the washer - positioned in front centre - has to be twice. Also the specific washer for fixing the flywheel screw has to become new ususally.

Hi Peter,
you are right, yours is the latest version of the AWO-Sport-Engine, but for driving the rubber-mounting is fine because of avoiding vibrations - for driver and material.
What you need is a cut - drawing from that latest version. Unfortunately I do not have it, but at the moment I can give you another picture what shows the lube oil flow in front side of crank shaft. It is from the touring engine, but at the moment the cylinderhead is for you not so important.
In blue you see the lube oil run, in red the important plate what collects mud and in green that detailled situation of end bearing for what we still need solution.
I will ask in the whole communityfor some help with that last version of cut drawing and maybe somebody can help and I will ask for sending a link.

the German AWO-enthusiasts had been busy with finding some additional cut- drawings for helping you and now the situation should be clear to you :

the only difference in latest engines is that that the roller bearing 6207 has to be mounted at first into the crank case, after the Seeger circlip ring and only then you can think about mounting the crank shaft. At least the shaft seal has to be mounted from fly wheel side.

Additionally I produced 2 photos from my spare parts collection with exactly the same crank case with that details of bearing and shaft seal
